Miss Cowboy: From Online to Real Life

Miss Cowboy: From Online to Real Life

As some of you know, a Miss Cowboy follower named Jessie reached out to me a few weeks ago about visiting her family’s ranch. I took a chance and flew to Florida to spend a few days with them. We hit it off so well that just two weeks later, I found myself driving back out with my dogs to spend more time here.

La Florida Farm boasts horses, dogs, cows, goats, an outdoor arena, a round pen, green pastures, and the perfect red barn. While all these features are fantastic, what truly makes this place special is the vision of two best friends, Whitney and Stephanie, who created a welcoming and loving environment for both humans and animals.

When Jessie first reached out, she mentioned that Lacey and I reminded her of Whitney and Stephanie. Now that I’ve been here, I can see the parallels clearly. We all share a vision of creating something that brings people and animals together. Our days at La Florida Farm have been filled with working in the round pen, doing join-up exercises, and riding out on trails. We've also been brainstorming ways we can collaborate to further build this community.

I'm so grateful that Jessie and I both took the leap to connect because I truly believe we’ve all become lifelong friends. When Lacey and I created Miss Cowboy, our goal was always to bring the club to life, not just keep it online. Experiencing this firsthand at La Florida Farm reassures us that we’re on the right path. As we plan meetups and gatherings, I hope this shows you how rewarding it can be to put yourself out there and build real connections. We envision hosting 3-4 meetups a year and are hoping other like-minded individuals in our community will also be open to sharing their spaces. Our approach will be to focus on one meetup at a time, trusting that these connections will lead us to new places across the country. In order to create Miss Cowboy meetups that continue and truly feel like a club, we thought of having "Chapter Leaders" in different areas where we've hosted meetups to carry on the tradition. These meetups should feel just like friends getting together. Our goal is to facilitate genuine connections with both people and horses. We’re excited to see our community grow and hope you’ll join us in building it together.

Love,

Ella
